Day 11 of the 30 in 30 - "Balanced"

Composing these paintings has been a lot fun.  I'm especially enjoying the challenge putting together disparate things and trying to make the composition interesting and successful. Today's was reminding me of a weather vane, I think because the scale of the the Mockingbird is obviously off compared to the marble and thread and whimsical weather vanes often have a small horse or other animal above a sphere of some sort. I love where art takes your mind! And it would seem that this is reason that the more I paint, the more ideas I seem to have. I wish for more hours in the day so I could paint everything I want to paint...
